Despite its name, this is not an edible flower. Claxton wanted to capture the flower's beautiful ephemeral rhythmic, delicate petals lovingly grown by her close friend in England, finding happiness at home in her garden during the pandemic lockdown. As well as looking at the outer aesthetics of the flower she delves deeper into the inner workings of plants, organisms and the human body. Strength, growth and connection are key and portrayed in the intertwining patterns combing nature and humans.
